Work Psychology (BS0150)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : MSE-P-BS0150 The purpose of the course is to chart developments within both psychology and social psychology to the field of organization and management studies. The course brings together a theoretical and applied psychological framework for the critical evaluation of worker behaviour. Building upon introductory studies from Organisational Behaviour (level one core Part-Time MBA programme), this option comprises 9 lectures delivered in two parts. Part one examines the psychological contract between both worker and employer, evaluating the contribution of personality and coping to notions of worker satisfaction and workplace stress. Part two of the option focuses upon identity and meaning at work and how this affects worker behaviour. Entry Requirements? Identify key components of the psychological contract between both worker and employer, together with implications of contract violation to the performance of work.

The course is based upon 100% continuous assessment consisting of TWO work-based reports. Each report contributes towards 50% of the final grade and should be approximately 2000 words in length.
