This course aims to familiarise students with new concepts in economics which help managers make better decisions concerning their pricing, advertising, strategic positioning, internal organisation and managerial incentive strategies.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Understand the concepts of marginal analysis and how they can be applied;
Understand the sources of competitive advantage, how they can be gained and how they can be practically measured;
Understand the factors which enable differences in personal objectives to result in poorer decisions and how such situations might be improved

Assessment Information

The overall mark for the course will be calculated as follows:

M = (0.3 x Es) + (0.7 x Ex)
