This course is an introduction to (i) the law in the UK relating to business organisations such as sole traders, partnerships, limited liability partnerships and companies, (ii) the law relating to employment, and (iii) the law relating to intellectual property,

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

After completing this course students will:
- be familiar with and be able to compare the principles and concepts relating to each business medium, and to be able to identify the most appropriate business medium for a variety of operations;
- have knowledge and a reasonable understanding of the content and principles of the law relating to employment and intellectual property;

Assessment Information

Completion of four out of five essays, of two pages each in length, analysing hypothetical problem scenarios. For students submitting all five essays, the best four will be taken as the basis for the final mark.
