Law of Business Transactions (LW0002)

The course is an introduction to the legal system of Scotland and its interaction with those of England & Wales, the United Kingdom and the European Union and to the substantive law of these systems as it affects business transactions, in particular contracts in general, specific contracts for the supply of goods and services, debt enforcement and insolvency.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Students shouldbe familiar with and able to deploy at a basic level the content, principles and concepts of the law relating to business transactions, in particular to identify correctly the legal issues arising in such transactions; have knowledge and understanding of the basic content and principles of the law relating to business transactions.

Continuous assessment, best 4 out of 5 short reports.
