Topics will include the historical foundations of Chinese philosophies, religions and ideologies, the origins of China's contemporary political and social structure, and aspects of Chinese literary culture. Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of modern and contemporary Chinese society and culture, and will be able to present their views orally and in writing in standard formats. Students will learn through participation in class and in written work to pay attention to logic, accuracy and expression.
