This module will cover the current topics of interest in Advanced Digital Communications. In particular information theory fundamentals related to coding and modulation of signals, channel capacity and channel models and spread spectrum communications.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

This course will present the principles that underlie the design and analysis of digital communication systems. The students will understand
1. The charcteristics of physical channels.
2. The concept and mechanics of channel coding and modulation.
3. The application of these principles to spread spectrum communications.
