Acronym : VET-P-P00966 Motivation, learning and cognition are all fields that provide an underpinning to the study of animal behaviour and animal welfare. The students will be presented with the scientific basis of these areas, with particular reference to animal welfare. Further understanding will be pursued through critical assessment of the literature, through practicals and assessment exercises. Entry Requirements? Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Motivation, learning and cognition are all fields that provide an underpinning to the study of animal behaviour and animal welfare. The students will have an understanding of the scientific bases of these areas and how they have been used in the study of applied animal behaviour. The ability to evaluate research and theories in these areas will be promoted by the presentation of work to the class. The student will be given practical experience of these areas through practicals and demonstrations.
