Human and Mammalian Physiology 2 (PY0001)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 8 ? Acronym : BIO-2-HMP A systematic survey of general mammalian (mainly human) physiology which lays the groundwork for all subsequent courses in Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience. Course topics include: the composition of body fluids and fluid homeostasis, membrane structure in relation to function, nerves and hormones, the cardiovascular, respiratory, renal and gastro-intestinal systems and an introduction to reproductive physiology.
