Practice of Nursing (U00284)

This course brings together all the learning from the four years of the programme building on the premise that nursing is a practice-based profession recognising the primacy of patient and client. Nursing issues are addressed at a more complex level. A central issue is the participation and co-operation with other health care professionals in the advancement of autonomous professional nursing practice.

Pre-requisites : Nursing 1, Nursing 2, Health & Society 1A, Health & Society 1B, Health & Society 2A, Health & Society 2B, Research and Inquiry, Nature of Nursing, Pathology and Patient Care, Organisation and Management of Health Care, OR Nature of Mental Health Nursing, Therapeutics and Patient Care, The Politics and Management of Mental Illness AND Research and Inquiry; Nature of Mental Health Nursing; Theraputics and Patient Care; The Politics and Management of Mental Illness.
