Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course, students should be able to:
1. Appreciate recent advances in materials engineering; 2. Have an acquaintance with modern methods for shaping materials; 3. Understand the rudiments of the corrosion of metals, and its reduction and prevention, and environment effects; 4. Have progressed to understand how oxidation processes arise in materials processes; 5. See how materials coating technologies are being progressed in different industries; 6. Realise the advantages of rapid prototyping to industry and the materials and processes to which it applies. Assessment Information
