AI Large Practical (U01911)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 9 ? Acronym : INF-3-AILP A large practical (LP) during the third year is a compulsory part of all AI joint honours degrees. It is also compulsory for non-graduating students doing AI honours modules unless a student only stays at Edinburgh for a short period. Students on an AI joint ordinary degree do the LP only if they are not taking the CS group project. Entry Requirements? Pre-requisites : Artificial Intelligence 2A (INF-2-AI2A) and Artificial Intelligence 2B (INF-2-AI2B). Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
It is anticipated that students who successfully complete the course will be able to:
- Design and analysis of light-weight research projects. - Plan to manage complex tasks with competing requirements. - Perform comparative studies of alternative approaches to AI problem-solving. - Manage time to complete: a) intermediate and final reports and b) software implementations, to deadlines. - Write and debug a moderate piece of AI program. - Write clear and concise documentation on an independent project. - Assess own abilities and results. - Carry out peer-refereeing and limited literature review.
