Electives may be research or clinically orientated and generally take the form of an attachment to a hospital or to a medial school department, enabling a student to pursue an individual interest in a speciality or other area of clinical study in greater depth.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Whilst it is recognised that elective placements are variable and that learning outcomes will be diverse, students must be able to produce a report describing their elective experiences and their reflections on those experiences.

Assessment Information

The elective report which must be graded a pass in order to graduate.
