Angiosperm Evolution and Biodiversity (U02861)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : BIO-4-PLAngEv The purpose of these lectures is to infuse the students with a broad understanding of the origin, evolution and special features of the angiosperms. The lectures are provided in the context of the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group (APG II, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society 141: 399-436, 2003) and give a broad outline of the major clades and the evolution of key characters.
