Ethical Issues and Supervision in the Application of the Counselling Approach (ED1141)? Credit Points : 15 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : HEA-P-ED1141 The aims of this module are: 1) to introduce some of the main theories, approaches and formats used in counselling supervision with particular reference to person-centred and psychodynamic perspectives; 2) to explore the application of these practices in roles and settings where counselling is not the primary task, but where the counselling approach is used; 3) to experience and reflect upon supervision relationships in practice; 4) to examine critically ethical issues and dilemmas in practice situations; 5) to explore recent debates in the ethics of care. This module can only be taken after completion of the introduction to Counselling and the Counselling Approach, Self and Others and the Application of the Counselling Approach Modules. Students may take only one counselling module per academic term. This module costs an additional 75 pounds.
