1 Unit of Assessment is allocated to every 20-credits of courses. Language Paper 1 counts as a 40-credit course. Language paper 2 and the oral are 20 credits each. | |||||
* No previous knowledge of Portuguese is necessary: a pass in a modern foreign language or a classical language at SCE Higher grade or equivalent evidence of linguistic proficiency is normally required | |||||
Entry into Honours normally requires (i) passes in all six subjects taken in the first two years, and (ii) a mark of 55% or above in the second year of the relevant Modern European Language. | |||||
# Entry to year 3 normally requires a pass at 55% or above at the first attempt in English Literature 2 or Scottish Literature 2,or American Literature 2. |
