In addition a range of new options will be introduced in 2006, including ‘Cinema
and Society in Britain since 1896’. Further to discussion with the
programme director a student may also choose an option from the suite of
courses offered by the School. |

(**) Students will be allowed to take one specialist course (20 credits)
in another School subject to the approval of the programme director. |

Students will be allowed to take an 'Internship' programme
in an Edinburgh associated institutions to substitute for up to 40 credits
of specialist courses (Scottish Studies taught programme H&C/LLC) subject
to the approval of the programme director. |
