| Final Assessment |
| 1 Unit of Assessment is allocated to every 20-credits of courses.
Language Paper 1 counts as a 40-credit course. Language paper 2 and the
oral are 20 credits each. |
| * No previous knowledge of Portuguese is necessary: a pass
in a modern foreign language or a classical language at SCE Higher grade
or equivalent evidence of linguistic proficiency is normally required. |
| † Entry to Honours normally requires a pass at 50%
or above in the second year of the relevant Modern European Language and,
at the first attempt, in either English Language 2 or a pass, at the first
attempt, in Linguistics 2A and Linguistics
2B, with an average mark across
the Linguistics courses of 50% or above. |
