Work Psychology (BS0150)
The purpose of the course is to chart developments within both psychology and social psychology to the field of organization and management studies. The course brings together a theoretical and applied psychological framework for the critical evaluation of worker behaviour. Building upon introductory studies from 'Organisational Behaviour' (level one core Part-Time MBA programme), this option comprises of 10 sessions delivered in two parts.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
to develop both understanding and insight into the application of psychology for managing both the individual and the group within the organisation of work.
to create a critical awareness of the current issues in work psychology.
to build a knowledge and appreciation of relevant literature for the contemporary study of work psychology.
The course is based upon 100% continuous assessment consisting of TWO work-based reports. Each report contributes towards 50% of the final grade and should be approximately 2000 words in length.
