Notes:Students proposing to write a Social Anthropology dissertation should also take Imagining Anthropological Research in their third year. This is a preparation course which is not assessed and the credit weighting is subsumed within the 40 credits of the Anthropology dissertation. Notes:Students intending to take the fourth year option Archaeological Fieldwork are required to undertake 10 weeks approved practical archaeological work in the vacations between the end of their second year of study and the beginning of their fourth year of study. Students who wish to combine the Archaeological Fieldwork option with a dissertation in Social Anthropology, will be required to complete their 10 weeks Archaeological practical work during the summer vacation of second year and the easter vacation of third year in order to leave the summer vacation of third year free for their dissertation fieldwork in Anthropology.
