COURSE OPTIONS This DPT has 4 set(s) of course options with the following rules. Overarching rule collection group: A Select a minimum of 0 credits and a maximum of 120 credits from these collections: Select a minimum of 0 credits and maximum of 40 credits from the following list of courses for the Programme Collection: 'Courses from School(s) E - MSc Material and Visual Cultures of the Past- 2 Years - Level(s) 11 (Semester 1 courses)' (ROU_E_PTMSCMVCOP1P1_11) , during Semester 1
Notes:1. These core courses MUST be taken in either Semester 1, Year 1, or Semester 1, Year 2. 2. You must take all courses in the list and cannot take any course twice. AND Select a minimum of 0 credits and maximum of 60 credits from the following list of courses for the Programme Collection: 'Courses from School of History, Classics and Archaeology- Material and Visual Cultures of the Past (MSc)-Level 11' (ROU_E_PTMSCMVCOP1F_11) , during Semester 1
Notes:1. Courses run in either Semester 1 OR Semester 2. 2. Course availability may vary subject to staffing arrangements. 3. Candidates must take a total of 60 credits of option courses over the four semesters of their part time degree. Normally, a total of 60 credits will be divided between the academic years, but this can be varied with the explicit agreement of the programme director. 4. Students will be allowed to take one specialist course (20 credits) in another School or to take an 'Internship' programme in an Edinburgh associated institution to substitute for up to 40 credits of specialist courses (Scottish Studies taught programme HCA/LLC) subject to the approval of the programme director. Further to discussion with the programme director a student may also choose an option from the suite of courses offered by the School.
