Course description |
Students will be introduced to the study of advanced Sanskrit texts in the areas of classical South Asian philosophy and religion. The texts will be chosen from a Hindu, Buddhist or Jain background and will involve themes such as karma and the arguments for a creator god. The course will involve both the translation and analysis of the texts selected for study and investigation of the various scholarly issues relating to them. |
