Course description |
This course will consider important environmental issues facing policy makers in the modern world challenged by the dilemmas inherent in balancing short-term economic forces with longer-term considerations of sustainability. It will empower those interested in making an impact in biodiversity and ecosystem health through advocacy
directed at policy makers in commerce, national governments and regional and international organisations. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course students will have a better understanding of the difficulties faced by policy makers in different types of organisations and how best they might be persuaded to act in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner while remaining answerable to their various constituencies. |
Assessment Information
Formal summative written assessment will constitute 60% of
the student's grade. Online assessment will incorporate a
variety of activities will constitute 40% of their overall course
grade and is taken to represent a formative assessment of
learning throughout the programme. |
