Course description |
The story of Jephthah and his daughter as interpreted by Josephus, Pseudo-Philo, the rabbis, the medieval Jewish commentators and a modern Israeli novelist (Amoz Oz). |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
After sucessful completion of this course, a student will have:
- consolidated and extended their knowledge of Classical Hebrew by a study of Post-biblical Hebrew texts;
- an understanding of the literature, history and religious practices and beliefs of Jews.
