		| Course description | 
		The aim of the course is to develop critical reading of large parts of the biblical prophetic corpus. It considers the depiction of prophets and seers and 'men of God' in the books of the Bible.  And it looks in turn at the Hebrew books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and the 'Book of the Twelve'. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes 
    
		| Familiarity with the main themes of the Former and Latter Prophets in the Hebrew Bible.  Familiarity with the terminology of 'prophecy', 'vision' etc.  An understanding of how 'biblical prophecy' relates to prophecy in the Ancient Near East. |
