Course description |
The half course investigates issues of manufacture and the way in which computer technology has impacted on product design. Students participate in manufacturing products. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course the student will be able to:
i. Present effectively design ideas using both hand generated graphics and advanced computer techniques.
ii. Produce part programmes to simulate / manufacture components using CAD-CAM technology.
iii. Demonstrate structured approaches to product design planning.
iv. Employ a range of practical manufacturing processes and techniques safely and confidently |

1. Completion of computer program & CAM product 30%
2. Folio for batch production 40%
3. Practical task 30% |
