| Course description |
The course covers two main strands - Further Mathematics and Issues in Mathematics Education. Further Mathematics deals with algebra, probability, statistics, and a selection of enrichment topics, such as topology, graphics, practical drawing and use of instruments. Issues in Mathematics Education has two central themes: Curriculum Development and Special Educational Needs. |

| The broad aim of the course is to help students become more knowledgeable, confident and reflective teachers of Primary mathematics. |
Assessment Information
| Students are required to analyse and give their reaction to a piece of writing about mathematics education (2000 words). |
