Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course students should be able to:

participate and interact effectively in tutorials in French, demonstrate the ability to produce accurate written and spoken French, identify and effectively use styles and registers in French, identify, understand and use complex grammatical structures, translate from French into English, demonstrating an ability to deal with a variety of styles and idiom in both languages, demonstrate effective use of self-study materials, such as dictionaries, grammar books and more discursive original French sources.
