Course description |
The course offers the opportunity to research in depth a subject that holds special interest to the student,on topics associated with Scandinavian Studies and subject to prior approval by the section head. Subjects may be drawn from any pertinent subject area, always provided that staff time and expertise permit a particular choice. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The aim of dissertation is to develop and demonstrate analytical and organisational skills in a particular area, this giving students an insight into the world of research and scholarship. A disseratation does not necessarily aim at exhaustiveness within its field or topic, nor does it need to incorporate original research, although both elements(ie exhaustiveness and originality) may be apparent in the completed dissertation.

Assessment Information
The dissertation will be appoximately 6,000 words in length ( excluding bibliography, footnotes and appendices. (100%)
