Course description |
The option stems from current research interests and from new multidisciplinary research initiatives on the Caribbean and its diaspora. It will ground a theoretical analysis of key social geographical concepts in the regional context of the Caribbean. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of the option, you should have achieved the stated aims and objectives, which will be assessed by class performance and degree work. Assessment will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of Caribbean societies. It will further mark the development of your critical judgement, intellectual reasoning and evaluation, and your general skills of presentation, motivation and the ability to work independently and with others.

Assessment Information
Class: One class essay (2,000 words); One portfolio summarising and critiquing tutorial readings.
Degree: One two hour examination (2 questions) AND One essay on a specialist topic (2,000 words)
