Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course the candidate should appreciate
! Past innovations and their effect on identifying risk and managing disease
! Successes and failures of practical application of scientific findings in the field
! The framework of opportunity for innovations in developing countries
! The social mechanisms of uptake of innovations
! Assessing the practical, financial feasibility and sustainability of practical application of scientific developments
! Funding of projects for converting scientific findings into applications

Assessment Information
Formal summative written assessment will constitute 60% of the student=s grade. Online assessment will incorporate a variety of activities and will constitute 40% of the overall course grade and is taken to represent a formative assessment of learning throughout the programme |
