Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students will understand and be able to use:
- basic principles of phonetic description and transcription;
- basic principles in describing the sound system of languages;
- basic principles for the description of grammatical structure and the structure of words;
- principles for the systematic study of word and sentence meaning.
Assessment Information
Take-home assessment and the December degree exam - each weighted equally.
