Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
1. To further understanding of key concepts in areas of formal description fundamental to the analysis of English as a language of the present day and of the past.
2. To develop awareness of the stylistic and metrical analysis of poetic texts. |

The assessment consists of an essay and an exam, each weighted equally. |
