An introduction to good design and analysis of scientific studies of behaviour, the course covers issues in experimental design, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics. |

Visiting students should have at least 3 Linguistics/Language Sciences courses at grade B or above (or be predicted to obtain this). We will only consider University/College level courses. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
An understanding of internal and external validity, pertinent experimental designs, data as distributions; a grasp of statistical inference, ability to employ a statistical package to run commonly used descriptive and inferential statistics, and to interpret the results. |
