Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
To know, describe and recognise common types of linguistic change; to accurately describe and analyse primary data; to show a systematic knowledge and understanding of current developments in the field; to identify and solve problems; to independently formulate and test hypotheses; to evaluate competing theoretical interpretations of primary data; to critically evaluate advanced scholarship in diachronic linguistics.
