Course description |
This course offers more advanced students the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge of the morphology and syntax of Classical Latin, to improve their skills in reading original Latin texts, and to develop their understanding of the interpretation of Latin authors. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course students should possess and be able to exhibit in coursework, examination, and class and tutorial discussions:-
- a good understanding of Latin grammar and syntax;
- solid skills in translating and understanding Latin literary texts;
- a more developed awareness of critical and interpretative issues raised by those texts. |
Assessment Information
Class work (40%);
one (2-hour) degree exam paper - 60%. |
