Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
To appreciate the scope of imaging methods and quantitative analysis as a powerful interdisciplinary research activity driving many areas of Biomedical Science. To understand key concepts and hypotheses which direct fundamental research using Imaging approaches. To recognise good laboratory practice and experimental planning and to acquire skills in the design of experiments relating to imaging of living cells and cell components. To acquire skills in reviewing imaging research in general and specific research areas. To prepare a clear and coherent piece of work suitable for publication in the scientific literature.
Assessment Information
Students will produce a report/essay/review in the form of a scientific paper on an area of current Imaging research interest (5000 words max; 100%)
