Course description |
This 3rd year course is an introduction to iterative numerical methods. The course considers the solution of linear and nonlinear algebraic systems, as well as ordinary differential equations. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
1. Knowledge of basic methods for analysing iteration using eigenvalues and error estimates.
2. Understand elementary methods for nonlinear equations and systems.
3. Knowledge of basic techniques of numerical linear algebra.
4. Familiarity with techniques for analysis of numerical methods for ordinary differential equations, including implicit methods. |
