Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of their attachment students should understand normal childhood growth and development, be able to recognise the sick child, and appreciate the importance of the family, psychological and social environment on the child.
Assessment Information
In-course assessment will count for 10% of the Year 5 marks. The in-course assessment has been designed to make it as certain as possible that students are competent in this part of the curriculum, with multiple opportunities for re-testing during the course. Elements of assessment in will also occur in the end-of-year examination - the portfolio viva, the Clinical Practice examination, and the Safety in Practice examination.
