Course description Continuing the creative studies undertaken by students in Inventing 1 and Style Studies 1 and 2, this course involves both individual and group work, directed by staff within a project and tutorials.

Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Inventing 1 (MUSI08025) AND Style Studies 1 (MUSI08026)) OR Music 1D: Introduction to Compositional Techniques (MUSI08056)

Pre-requisites Visiting students should have at least one semester in Music Theory and one semester in Composition. We will only consider University/College level courses.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students who satisfactorily complete this course will be expected to have:

- the ability to conceive musical ideas, and to manipulate them in an inventive and individual way;
- the ability to develop musical materials into well-formed and coherent musical structures.
Assessment Information
A mark for attendance and coursework (10%), one piece of work (45%) and a further piece of work and a composition diary (45%).
