Course description Full time research for 3 months on a topic in the field of population and quantitative genetics and genome analysis. Projects will involve the statistical analysis and interpretation of genetic data from theoretical, animal, plant or human populations.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of the months the student will be able to;
1) Planned a research project, including sourcing and interpreting the current relevant scientific literature.
2) Acquired the necessary skills in statistical analysis.
3) Adjusted objectives in the light of their own results.
4) Placed their own work in the context of published work.
5) Write and present a body of scientific work in the form of an academic thesis.
6) Summarise their findings in an oral presentation to academics and other scientists in the field
