Course description |
This course will provide a forum for students to assimilate, design, and critique research problems related to Systems and Synthetic Biology. Lectures will comprise one of three types:
1) An assigned paper from leading areas of research in the field which will be discussed and critiqued by both the instructor and students.
2) An external expert in the field who will present their research to the students (1 hour), followed by a 1 hour discussion period led by the speaker.
3) A problem-based lecture where the students (together with the instructor) will design and interpret likely outcomes from experimental approaches related to Systems and Synthetic Biology. |
