		| Course description |
An introduction to the study of Greek, Etruscan and Roman women. This course uses a wide range of evidence, but especially that of art and archaeology, to explore the daily experiences of women in these Classical societies, as well as the roles they play in society, social attitudes towards them, and their social status. The women studied in this course include empresses, freeborn women, prostitutes, slaves and freedwomen. |
