Course description |
This is a dedicated Masters course on topics in logic and language, following on from MSc Logic & Language 1. The course involves seminars, visiting speakers, and specific taught material on topics in mathematical logic, philosophy of language and areas of philosophy that use logical methods.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students should:
- have improved their competence in using logical methods in philosophy;
- these include a familiarity with logic at "intermediate" level;
- have improved their familiarity with some of the main topics in contemporary work in logic, philosophy of logic and language, and related areas. |
Assessment Information
The course will be 100% assessed by a single 2500 word essay due at the end of the semester. There will also be non-assessed presentations in class during the semester. |
