Course description This course provides an introduction to working with both qualitative and specialist quantitative data in contemporary psychological research. It covers the reasons for such forms of analysis, the ways in which relevant data is collected, and the types of analysis that may be carried out.

1. Understand how the research question affects the choice of data collection method employed.
2. Become familiar with the scenarios in which the range of design types discussed are applicable.
3. Become adept in describing and managing data collection in a variety of the areas covered.
