Course description |
This half-course will explore the concepts of exercise, fitness and health and the inter-relationships between them. The role of experience in the development and maintenance of health will be analysed. Guidelines for exercise prescription in relation to health benefits will be examined, and the possible hazardous consequences of exercise also considered. |

Understand and articulate the concepts of exercise, fitness and health;
Appreciate the conceptual and empirical basis for ascribing inter-relationships between these concepts;
