The Study project is an individual project consisting of a literature survey, a self-study module or an experimental or computational investigation related to a research topic. The study project may contain elements of more than type of activity under these heading. Any novel research work is expected to be of relatively modest scope.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will:
1. demonstrate the ability to use published reference material, including textbooks, technical journals and web articles as the study project requires;
2. show that they can develop a critical review of the specified study project subject matter;
3. demonstrate the ability to write a substantial technical report.
