Polarity and patterning in embryogenesis:
The Drosophila embryo;
Patterning the nematode embryo;
The vertebrate embryo: zebrafish and mouse;
The evolution of body plans and the underlying conservation of developmental mechanisms.
Organogenesis & cell type differentiation:
Drosophila neurogenesis;
Imaginal discs
The development of limbs, morphogens and environmental influence on development;
Control of organ size.
Plant development:
Embryonic patterning;
Meristems and organs.
