Course description |
This course aims to develop an understanding of methods of information gathering, and collection of visual resources appropriate to the discipline. The development of visual material through a wide range of approaches to drawing, as a way of initiating a personal perspective to practice. |

On completion of this element, the student is expected to:
1. Demonstrate an ability to locate and order visual information from one or more direct source.
2. Exercise initiative and planning in the collection of visual resources.
3. Evaluate visual information and synthesise ideas through drawing and other constructed images.
4. Use a range of approaches and techniques to drawing to communicate ideas. |

Mid-session review and end of year assessment by portfolio submission.
