Course description Ordinary differential equations: separable, second order linear with constant coefficients. Solution in series. Functions of several variables: partial derivatives, directional derivatives, with applications to tangent planes and normals. Chain rule. Jacobians. Taylor series with applications. Double and repeated integrals, change of variable.

Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: Mathematical Methods 2 (MATH08032) OR ( Geometry & Convergence (MATH08003) AND Group Theory: An Introduction to Abstract Mathematics (MATH08004))
