Course description |
Nature of data, censoring; survivor and hazard functions; non-parametric procedures: Life-table and Kaplan-Meier estimates of the survivor function and hazard function; comparisons between groups using the log-rank test and Wilcoxon test; modelling lifetime data: lifetime distributions; order statistics and estimation of parameters taking account of the censoring mechanism; accelerated failure time models; modelling lifetime data with covariate information: proportional hazards model, Weibull model with covariates; checking the validity of the model and any assumptions: graphical procedures, residual plots, testing the assumption of proportional hazards. |
